Even his name is holy (pure and separate from sin).

He is so great that the more we understand about him, the more there is to discover.

He is abundantly good.

He is righteous in all his ways.

His kingdom and his reign as the King will continue forever.

And this is the promise the Lord has made to us:

He will be near to all who call on him

as long as we tell him the truth.

“The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.” Psalm 145:18 NIV

My Prayer

Wow! Thank you that you want me to know you, Lord.

Thank you that you want to be near me.

I will do as you ask. I will tell you the truth when I pray.

Thank you for hearing me and loving me. I love you back. Amen.

Suggested Activities

1) Meditate on Psalm 145:18 out loud by emphasizing one word at a time. For example, 1–The Lord is near to … 2–The Lord is near to … 3–The Lord is near to … 4–The Lord is near to … and so on through the end of the verse. By the time you have completed the meditation, you will be well on your way to having the verse memorized.
2) Make a collage using hand written phrases about God from Psalm 145 and magazine pictures that illustrate each truth.
