Understanding the Temple of God —
Did you know that when the Spirit of God dwells in someone, his or her body is claimed by God as his holy temple — a place where God is to be honored and glorified? (See I Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19.)
Wow! To better understand the purpose of a temple, let’s look at the historical meaning of the original Temple in Jerusalem that was built by King Solomon.
My Prayer
Dearest Father, What an honor! Your Spirit has come to dwell in me, making my body into a temple of the Living God. I wish to honor you in return by using my whole body (hands, feet, eyes, ears, mouth) for only those things that glorify you. Thank you. Amen.
