You Can Retell the Story of Zacchaeus!

Have you ever tried to retell a great joke or story and bombed? That’s because you didn’t have all the important parts firmly planted in your mind.

One way to effectively remember and make a story your own is to put it into different words. So let’s try using this method with the story of Zacchaeus. To help you out, I’ve made a list of 13 words that you can print and use.

1) Start by re-reading Luke 19:1-10.
2) Then cut out the 13 word boxes and place them in a logical storytelling order. (It’s OK if you arrange them differently than the order in Luke.)
3) Practice retelling the story of Zacchaeus into a mirror using these new words.

Dearest Father, I love the life changing true story of Zacchaeus meeting Jesus — and I want to be able to effectively tell great stories like this to other people. Please increase my ability as I practice new methods of storytelling. Thank you so much. Amen.
