Who is My Neighbor? —

Watch this outstanding video of Jesus telling the Parable of the Good Samaritan based on
Luke 10:25-37.

My Prayer

Dearest Jesus, Thank you for taking the time to patiently teach us about who we are to love — something that must seem so obvious to you. Thank you for your amazing story about the good Samaritan and how he willingly loved and helped his neighbor — even though his neighbor turned out to be a hated Jew. May I always remember to do the same. Amen.

You can better understand how naturally dangerous portions of the Jericho Road are by watching this reading of the Good Samaritan filmed at the pass known as the Ascent of Blood. It is five miles outside of Jericho and is probably the location Jesus’ was referring to in his parable.
