Hearts at Home Conference

The Hearts at Home Conference in Rochester, Minnesota, on the weekend of November 7-8 was a great fit for us.

Here are some of the highlights.

Since the bathrooms in the Mayo Civic Center were taken over by women, Keith had to be a bit cautious.

The conference was for Christian moms, so our products were not a hard sell.

We sold more books at this conference than any other. Our new Prayer Journals for teens and Prayer Cards for upper elementary were well received. It was a benefit to have books that appealed to children of all ages.

Of course, it didn’t hurt that one of our biggest endorsers, Dr. Kathy Koch of Celebrate Kids, Inc., was the keynote speaker. Her message on “I Am Who I Am Suppose To Be” was powerful.

We also received a big bump in sales right after Jill Savage (co-author with Dr. Kathy of the book No More Perfect Kids) pitched four of our books in her seminar on family worship.

We became good friends with our exhibit neighbors Dr. Joy and her sister Restie. Their proceeds from the sale of handmade Ugandan art will build a new school back in their native country.

Everything fit nicely back into our van for our 12 hour trip home (a small miracle being that I had volunteered to take four large extra boxes back with us to ship to Texas). Keith was sweating there for awhile — but golly, wasn’t he amazing!

Thank you, Father, for all you did for us and through us — we are truly grateful!
