The Sacrificial Lamb of Passover —

One of the most important holidays in Israel is Passover which takes place each year around Easter. Passover (Pesach in Hebrew) is also called the Feast of Unleavened Bread. It celebrates one of the most amazing events in Israel’s history — their sudden exodus or escape from Egypt that took place approximately 1400 years before Christ.

Watch how the children of Israel (who were covered by the blood of a lamb) were saved from death on this special night of Passover; and how this sacrifice was a preview of Jesus’ death as the chosen Lamb of God. (Video produced by Maoz Israel of Tel Aviv.)

My Prayer

Dearest Father, Thank you that you sent Jesus, the Lamb of God, to save people like me from eternal death. Thank you that you accept his blood as a suitable covering for my sins. By faith, I paint Jesus’ blood over the door of my heart and thank him for being my Savior. Amen.
