Jewish religious leaders in the first century criticized Jesus, because he was friendly to tax collectors and sinners — and horror of horrors, he spent time with them!
As a result, Jesus told three parables to help these Pharisees and scribes understand how God thinks — that no one is too bad for God to love and desire a relationship with.
Read Luke 15:1-3 about the first of these three parables that explain God’s heart. Then watch the following animated video by Max7 that brings the story of the lost sheep to life.
My Prayer
Dearest Father, Thank you that you desire a relationship with people no matter who they are or what they have done. This means that even when I am at my worst, you still seek me out — you still love me and want me for your child. What an amazing truth! Thank you so much! Amen.
