Stained Glass Window of Jesus —

This stained glass window of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane is located in the old stone country church known as Baseline United Methodist of Battle Creek, Michigan. It was created by artist David Vandlen who is a member of the church.

The window is based on Jesus’ conversation with God the Father before his death and is a perfect example of what it means to yield to God. In his prayer, Jesus said, “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” Luke 22:42 NLT

In other words, Jesus gave up what he wanted in order to do what his Father wanted.
