My Prayer

Dearest Father, Thank you for Jesus. I recognize that he is Lord and Christ — the one who died on the cross to pay for my sins. I accept him by faith and gladly receive salvation. Thank you for giving me eternal life and a new desire to change my behavior so that I can be more like you. Amen.

Repentance Review

In the Bible, the word repent means: to change one’s __ __ __ __ .

For salvation, repentance means changing your mind from __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ of Christ to

__ __ __ __ __ in Christ.

There are 3 possible ways to reject Christ:

1) W __ __ __ __ __ __  __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __  =  “I don’t believe Jesus is the Son of God.”

2) I __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __  =  “There are many religions. One is probably as good as another.”

3) D __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __  =  “I’m a pretty good person. I don’t think I really need a Savior.”

It is important to remember that repentance is not a work we do to __ __ __ __ salvation.

As John the Baptist preached in Matthew 3:8: “Produce __ __ __ __ __ in keeping with repentance.”

In other words, repentance is a change of __ __ __ __ about Jesus that results in a change of

__ __ __ __ __ __ in my life. Therefore, when my mind (or heart) is changed, my behavior will

begin to __ __ __ __ __ __ also.
