Becoming a Man —
Even today, the official passage of Jewish boys into manhood takes place in their early teens through the religious ceremony called Bar Mitzvah (meaning Son of Commandment). Afterwards these young men take full responsibility for their own religious life including participating in the public reading of the Torah (first 5 books of the Old Testament).

Dearest Father, Thank you that Jewish people seek to know you even today. May you take note of their devotion to your Word in the Old Testament and open their eyes to behold Jesus as their Messiah. Amen.
