A New Zing Ding

This is the first official preview of one of my new Zing Dings — Proverbs for Modern Times.
I think it has many applications to prayer. See what you think.

queen-hi FIThe OUGHT’S are out there — and they’re mean!
They rule just like a wicked queen.
They fill your mind with endless shame.
They love to taunt. They thrill to blame.

1195422778905135954Machovka_Pink_pig_1.svg.hiThe LAZY’S keep two faces close —
With one they whine, with one they boast.
Tomorrow is their working day!
Today’s reserved for rest and play.

animal-friends-hiThe LOVE’S are humble, kind, and true.
They do their share and follow through.
Their days are full, but with a twist
They help wherever needs exist.

love-hiSo pick your friends and attitudes
Based on God’s heart, not on your moods.
Stay clear of LAZY, OUGHT-filled haze
And rather choose LOVE’S winsome ways.

Remember: God reaches out to us in love and he wants us to return that reach in the same way. Even when it is necessary to confess sin, we can offer our prayer out of love and relationship, rather than with morbid fear and obligation. God is thrilled to hear from our seeking hearts and is full of grace! So, happy, love-filled praying!
